Volunteers play an important role in the life of our school.  Whether it is listening to a child read, joining us on trips and visits or leading enrichment activities, volunteers are a valued part of our school community.  To this end it is the school’s responsibility to ensure that our volunteers are properly supported and given appropriate safeguarding training so that they too can play their part in keeping all our children happy, healthy and safe.  Below you will find links to our key safeguarding and child protection documents.  If you wish to become a regular volunteer then we will pay for you to go through the DBS (disclosure and barring service) check.

Key documents

The document below is the most recent version of the Department for Education’s statutory guidance for schools and colleges.  It is expected that all staff (including all other adults that work with children) read Part 1: Safeguarding Information for All Staff.

If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity then please contact the school office and arrange a time to speak with a member of the leadership team.  Alternatively, speak to one of our class teachers.
